New Orders Received
🟢 Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) wins new domestic orders worth ₹3,550 Cr anchored by Coal India’s 875 MW solar project in Bikaner as L1 bidder. FY26 total EPC order inflows of SWREL crossed ₹10,062 Cr beating the initial ₹10,000 Cr annual target. This is also SWREL's first order from Coal India marking entry into the PSU mining-to-renewables pivot segment.
Partnerships, Investments & Acquisitions
🟢 TVS Motor signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Hyundai Motor Company to develop and locally manufacture electric 3-wheelers for India’s last-mile mobility market. Hyundai leads engineering and design while TVS handles production and sales. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility commands over 40% share in India’s electric 3-wheeler segment.
Core Business & Regulatory
🔴 Tata Starbucks has hiked prices by 5-10% across its menu in response to rising coffee bean, milk, rental, and staff costs.
🔴 Mastek reduces EBITDA margin guidance from 17% to 16.5% due to increased competition. The company’s actual FY26 operating EBITDA came in at 15.8% for the full year.
🟢 Carysil targets quartz kitchen sink capacity of 1.25 million units per annum with a proposed ₹50 Cr investment to serve major US retail chains. Carysil is Asia’s only manufacturer using proprietary German Schock technology holding IKEA’s exclusive non-US quartz supply contract.
Economy
🔴 IRDAI is preparing draft regulations on insurance commissions. DFS Secretary M. Nagaraju has stated that higher insurance commissions are a concern for the government. IRDAI recently sought granular channel-wise and product-level commission data from all insurers signaling an imminent regulatory overhaul of distribution economics.
