🟢 Ashok Leyland signed a pact with Indonesia’s PT Pindad to collaborate on EV and defence vehicle development.
Core Business & Regulatory
🟢 Apollo Tyres to invest ₹5,810 Cr by FY29 to expand capacity at its Andhra Pradesh plant
🟢 Lloyds Metals & Energy approved a ₹8,000 Cr second slurry pipeline project to strengthen iron-ore logistics and support capacity-led growth over the next phase.
🔴 IndiGo curtailed Europe operations due to airspace restrictions, cutting flights from Delhi to Manchester/London and suspending Mumbai–Copenhagen services from 17 Feb.
🔴 The CCI has ordered a detailed probe into IndiGo for alleged abuse of dominance after December 2025 mass cancellations and fare spikes, having found a prima facie case of anti-competitive conduct.
Economy, IPO & Other
🟢 Coal India’s blending coal imports dropped 54% to 5.5 MT in Apr-Dec 2025 from 12 MT last year, easing input costs for power producers.
🟢 Bulten Group, a Swedish fasteners maker, plans a ₹525 Cr plant in Tamil Nadu to produce automotive fasteners.
🟢 RBI conducted a $10B USD-INR buy-sell swap auction, but banks bid for $25B deployment, signaling robust demand for rupee liquidity amid tight funding conditions. This supports short-term forex stability and eases domestic liquidity pressures.
🔴 US tech stocks fell as AI valuation worries resurfaced. Anthropic-style AI tools raised concerns about SaaS economics and IT services pricing power.
