NEW ORDERS & PROJECTS
🟢 Kalpataru Projects International Limited secured orders worth ₹2,038 Cr in Transmission & Distribution business across India and overseas markets, and Building projects in India on January 24, 2025.
🟢 KEC International secured ₹1,445 Cr orders from Power Grid Corporation for ±800 kV HVDC and 400 kV transmission line projects in India, strengthening its HVDC market presence.
🟢 Exicom Tele-Systems secured ₹1,412.48 Cr order from RVNL for BharatNet Phase III project, supplying telecom equipment in UP East and West circles with 10-year maintenance.
🟢 Ceigall India emerged as L1 bidder for ₹865 Cr Ludhiana Bypass project.
🟢 RPP Infra Projects secured order worth ₹87.56 Cr from Greater Chennai Corporation for constructing integrated storm water drain works in Kovalam Basin's M1 & M2 components, to be completed in 18 months.
🟢 NBCC secured ₹148.40 Cr order from Health Ministry for constructing 72 dwelling units, lecture halls, hostels, and solar system at AIIMS Bilaspur.
🟢 Australian Premium Solar India received two orders worth ₹91.08 Cr for supplying solar panels, inverters, and PV modules to domestic clients, with execution timelines until March and May 2025.
🟢 Suzlon secured 486 MW order from Torrent Power for 162 S144 wind turbine generators of 3 MW capacity each, to be installed in Bhogat, Gujarat, marking their 1 GW milestone.
🟢 Refex Industries subsidiary Venwind Refex Power secured 153.7 MW wind power project order from Torrent Solar Power, including WTGs and tubular towers supply with O&M in Karnataka, to be executed by April 2026.
🟢 Tarmat Limited awarded ₹30 Cr civil works contract to RDB Infrastructure for strengthening and construction of perimeter road at Mumbai International Airport, to be completed in 9-12 months.
PARTNERSHIPS, INVESTMENTS & ACQUISITIONS
🟢 Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services partnered with Tyger Capital Private Limited to provide Zaggle Zoyer (BROME) Solution for 24 months.
🟢 Aditya Birla Estates formed JV with Mitsubishi Estate, investing ₹560 Cr for premium residential project in Bengaluru.
CORE BUSINESS
🟢 ICICI Bank’s Q3FY25 net profit rose 14.81% YoY to ₹11,792.42 crore, with NII up 9.06% to ₹20,371 crore. NIM declined to 4.25% from 4.43% YoY. Total deposits grew 14.1% YoY
🔴 IndiGo’s Q3FY25 net profit declined 18.3% YoY to ₹2,449 crore due to higher expenses and rupee weakness. Revenue rose 13.7% to ₹22,111 crore. The airline carried 3.1 crore passengers with 63.8% market share
🟢 Max Estates along with other partners acquired 10.33 acre mixed-use land in Noida Sector 105 for ₹711 Cr, planning 2.6 mn sq ft development with 40% residential, 60% commercial split.
🟢 Cupid Limited received UNFPA prequalification for Brown Caramel Female Condom Variant, enabling 100% supply eligibility for South Africa's 5-year RT75-2025 tender closing January 31, 2025.
🟢 Arvind SmartSpaces signed agreement for 92-acre horizontal township project near Khopoli in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with ₹1,500 Cr revenue potential and 70.5% revenue share.
INDIAN ECONOMY
🔴 India's FOREX reserves fell $1.88 Bn to $623.983 Bn for week ended January 17, witnessing continued decline due to RBI's market interventions and currency revaluation.
🟢 RBI tweaked downstream investment rules, allowing foreign-owned companies to buy and swap shares with local businesses.
