NEW ORDERS & PROJECTS RECEIVED
🟢 Bharat Electronics received orders worth Rs 843 Cr for RF seekers and vessel and air traffic management systems, bringing total FY25 orders to Rs 14,567 Cr.
🟢 Anupam Rasayan signed a 10-year deal worth Rs 922 crore ($106 million) with a Korean MNC to supply high-performance niche chemicals for aviation and electronics, enhancing its global presence and chemical solutions expertise.
🟢 HFCL's subsidiary HTL secured Rs 44.36 Cr order from Indian Army to supply tactical optical fiber cable assemblies designed to withstand heavy armored vehicles.
🟢 Vinyas Innovative Technologies secured purchase orders worth ₹53.87 Cr from various domestic and international customers for manufacturing and supplying assembled PCBs, to be executed within 12-18 months.
🟢 Ashoka Buildcon received a Letter of Acceptance from MSETCL for a 400/220 kV substation project in Amravati, Maharashtra, with a bid price of ₹312 Cr(inclusive of GST). The project involves supply, engineering, testing, and commissioning, along with civil work, and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
PARTNERSHIPS, INVESTMENTS & ACQUISITIONS
🟢 NTPC Group signed Rs 96,000 Cr energy agreements with Chhattisgarh Government for nuclear, pumped hydro, and renewable projects, including Rs 80,000 Cr investment for a 4,200 MW nuclear plant.
🟢 SJVN signed MoU with Chhattisgarh Government for 1800-MW hydroelectric project worth Rs 9,500 Cr.
🟢 Schneider Electric partners with South Bihar Power Distribution to enhance grid reliability using EcoStruxure Grid Solutions. It also collaborates with Tata Power on SF6-free RMUs, aiming for 50% cost savings and a greener power distribution system.
🟢 CleanMax partnered with Japan's Osaka Gas Group to build 300-MW renewable energy portfolio with total investment value of Rs 1,500 Cr, to be developed over time.
🟢 Syngene International acquired its first US biologics facility from Emergent Manufacturing Operations Baltimore for $36.5 million. The total investment is estimated at $50 million, including acquisition cost and expenses to make the facility operational. The deal is expected to close in March 2025.
🟢 Sun Pharma acquired Checkpoint Therapeutics for $355 million, enhancing its oncology portfolio with treatments like UNLOXCYT, an FDA-approved skin cancer therapy, strengthening its presence in onco-derm therapy.
CORE BUSINESS & REGULATORY
🟢 JSW Steel shares surged 2.1% to four-month high after reporting 12% YoY rise in consolidated crude steel production for February 2025, with domestic operations seeing 13% increase.
🟢 Navin Fluorine International's Surat plant, dedicated to manufacturing HFC (R32), has begun operations. This marks a significant milestone in the company's fluorochemicals production, enhancing its capabilities in refrigerant manufacturing. The plant's capacity is 4,500 TPA, with a capital expenditure of ₹84 crore
🟢 Juniper Green Energy commissioned solar plant in Rajasthan to supply electricity to Bhutan, contributing to 100 MW generation capacity.
🟢 Zomato shareholders approved renaming company to 'Eternal' while the app will continue under existing name.
🔴 IndusInd Bank anticipates a net worth erosion of up to ₹2,000 crore, representing a 2.35% reduction, due to discrepancies in its derivative portfolio. These discrepancies were identified over the past five to seven years and are being reviewed by an external agency.
