NEW ORDERS & PROJECTS RECEIVED
🟢 Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited secured domestic and export orders worth ₹350 Cr, including ₹272 Cr from Adani Group and ₹78 Cr from Al Sabha Group (Iraq) and Powerlink Queensland (Australia) for transformer supply.
🟢 Larsen & Toubro's Power Transmission & Distribution vertical won "large" orders (₹2,500-5,000 Cr) in India and abroad, including 765kV and 400kV transmission lines in Uttar Pradesh and renewable energy projects in southern India.
🟢 Alpex Solar secured ₹210 crore solar module supply order from SECI for advanced photovoltaic modules.
🟢 Marine Electricals (India) Limited received an order worth ₹10.22 Cr from Prasa Infocom & Power Solutions for supply and installation of LV Panel.
🟢 S J Logistics (India) Limited secured orders worth ₹22 Cr from a T&D player for end-to-end logistics services.
🟢 RBM Infracon Limited received a service order worth ₹21.38 Cr from Mundra Petrochem Ltd for structure erection work of Cooling Hall for Calcium Carbide Plant.
PARTNERSHIPS, INVESTMENTS & ACQUISITIONS
🟢 Paytm partnered with RBL Bank to provide Soundbox and card machines to the bank's merchant partners, offering real-time transaction monitoring, instant settlements, and support for multiple payment methods.
🟢 Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA acquired and launched Acetylcysteine Injection from Aspen Pharma USA Inc., entering a market with annual sales of ~$15.2 million.
🟢 Metropolis Healthcare's subsidiary will acquire Agra-based Scientific Pathology for ₹55-83 crore (12.2x adjusted EBITDA), making it the second-largest player in Western Uttar Pradesh with three labs and eleven collection centers.
🟢 Air India expands codeshare partnership with All Nippon Airways and will operate 4x weekly flights from Delhi to Tokyo's Haneda Airport starting March 31, replacing existing Narita services.
CORE BUSINESS & REGULATORY
🟢 Hindustan Power will invest Rs 620 crore in solar plant and battery energy storage projects in Assam, funding a 100-MW solar power plant and 100-MW battery storage system.
🟢 The Oberoi Group expands with two new luxury resorts in Rishikesh, including a 120-key five-star hotel with Trident branding, managed by EIH Ltd, the group's flagship company.
🔴 Ola Electric reportedly cut 1,400-1,500 jobs in search of profitability, with about half being contractual employees and technicians hired to run sales and service centers opened in December.
🔴 Honda's two-wheeler unit in India reported a 7% sales decline in Feb to 38,531 units compared to 44,744 units last year, with exports also falling.
🔴 Honda overtook Hero as India's No.1 two-wheeler maker in Feb 2025, though both posted declines in sales, underscoring pressure on entry-level two-wheelers.
🟢 Indian Energy Exchange saw 9% year-on-year increase in February trade volumes to 9,622 million units, with the day-ahead market recording 5,369 MU, up 14% from last year.
🟢 Coffee Day Enterprises stock soared 20% after NCLAT overturned insolvency proceedings. It brings significant relief to Coffee Day which is facing substantial financial challenges.
INDIAN ECONOMY
🟢 Amazon Web Services plans to invest $8 billion in Maharashtra by 2030.
🔴 India's manufacturing PMI fell to a 14-month low of 56.3 in February 2025, down from 57.7 in January, due to cooling demand.
🟢 Indian foreign travel increased 11% in 2024, exceeding pre-Covid levels by 4.7%, with popular destinations including Canada, China, France, Germany, and the UK.

🟢 Tata Capital eyes $11 billion valuation for India IPO, potentially raising $2 billion in India's biggest IPO of 2024.
🔴 Donald Trump announced a US strategic crypto reserve including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano, initially fueling a rally. But crypto markets fell soon after due to skepticism over the plan's feasibility.
